Malcolm Turnbull recently launched an advertising / smear campaign targeting the current account defecit and labelling the recent spending by the government as foolish.
Within days the campaign launch however, new economic figures showed that Australia’s stimulus package has actually worked and we are no longer in a recession.
The Liberal Party obviously knew that these figures were being released and they decided that they would do as much political damage to the government as they could before hand.
All the smear campaign has done though, is to show again that the opposition cannot contribute anything into the public arena except unrest and discord.
I am reminded yet again of how far the Liberal party have strayed from
the electon winning party is was just a few years ago, becoming a
bitter dried up husk of the former party and obviously, currently
unelectable.
What is the point in an opposition party leader that reminds people
more of a 3 year old child having tanties than a leader and mentor.
It’s about time that Malcolm got the chop and someone who actually can identify with the Australian People put into the job.
