Welcome to The Angry Dwarf

This poor blog of mine, http://angrydwarf.com.au has been neglected a bit lately. Why do we blog? I have been reading about blogging and came across a couple of articles I liked from bloggers I respect.

The article from Molly E. Holzschlag about why we blog. – I also quite like her book “Spring into HTML” which you can find out about on her website The comment responses to the article were interesting.

The following quote from weblogg-ed.com (bad Seo!) Hit home for me.

” But here is the thing: no matter how you slice it, blogging is a risk. And it’s a risk not just because you are putting yourself out there for the world, but because unlike many other types of writing that we do, it’s unfinished. At least that’s the way it feels for me. I don’t KNOW very much for certain. But blogging isn’t about what I know as much as it’s about what I think I know, and I find that to be a crucial distinction. For me, it’s the distinction that constantly makes this hard. It’s also the distinction, however, that makes blogging worth it. “

I have been keeping my personal blog (this one) My business blogsites http://wellfedpets.com.au/ and http://hostpossum.com/ and my cloud computing personal interest blog http://love2tweet.com/ (and several others) well separated . when your trying to run 2 businesses and come up with articles for several different weblogs as well as a personal facebook page, and a business page on facebook for both hostpossum and wellfedpets and Twitter! Well I guess there aren’t enough hours in the day. Blogging Is hard work! and when you are overworked things slip! .
What to do? I am not really sure but I won’t be giving up this blog any time soon. (Especially with elections not that far off!)

2010 Fingers Crossed for a New State Government

January 15, 2010

Happy New Year NSW!
The first thing I thought of when I woke up on new years day was that by the end of 2010, we may have ended the tyrannical, oppressive, wasteful and deceitful rein of the worst and most incompetent state government, since the first fleet. I am still amazed by [...]

H1N1 Advice better than 2 to the arm

November 2, 2009

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

You know lately, with all the economic woes we have experienced both as a nation and myself personally, you would think I would be angrier than ever.

I think old [...]

Nathan Rees' Razor Gang starts selloff. NSW is being gutted.

July 9, 2009

Are residents of NSW so numb to the goings on of the State Government that they have stopped fighting against the razor gang sell-off beginning again. A Labor Government selling off schools, police stations, sports venues, even the Sydney Fish market is just insanity. Do they realise or even care that once that asset has been sold off, it is gone. It is no longer owned by the people of NSW all future benefit is lost and the net worth of the asset is lost forever.

Australian Government The great idea makers that cave under pressure.

June 28, 2009

The Our Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd and the Australian Government came to office on a ticket of bright fresh ideas much the same as the more recently elected President Obama of the USA.
It didn’t take long before the bright fresh team led by Kevin started getting the shit knocked out of it by the liberals and by the corporate heavies. And what happened? They buckled.
